LE VERRE DE VIN
Le Verre de Vin technology effectively preserves wine without any risk to it’s subtle structure by removing the oxygen to a precisely controlled level.
Wine begins to oxidise as soon as the cork is removed. By removing the oxygen to a precisely controlled level Le Verre de Vin technology effectively preserves wine without any risk to its subtle structure.
Still wine preservation takes just 2 to 5 seconds (depending upon the amount of wine remaining) during which time a precisely controlled vacuum is created within the bottle.
Le Verre de Vin technology operates by introducing a precisely calibrated infusion of CO2 into a Champagne/sparkling wine bottle, thereby creating a pressure equilibrium and preventing any escape of CO2 from the wine itself.
With the Coravin Wine Preservation System you can enjoy a sip, a glass, or more from any bottle and save the rest for weeks, months, or even years!
The Coravin Wine Preservation System allows you to pour wine from a bottle without removing the cork. It inserts a needle into the cork which avoids the oxygen to get into the bottle. When pouring the wine, Argon gas is inserted into the bottle. Argon gas does not react with wine, and has no effect on the taste profile. It is one of the seven gases that occur naturally in the air we breathe and is regularly used in the wine making process.
Coravin routinely conducts blind taste tests with wine professionals of bottles previously accessed with the Coravin System against control bottles from the same case. Over 500 wine professionals have participated in these tastings. They have not been able to distinguish between previously accessed bottles and untouched controls.
